The part-time UNIGIS distance-learning
Postgraduate Diploma and
Master of Science
(MSc.) programme in Geographical Information Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam
provides opportunities for professionals to acquire knowledge and
skills in the field of GIS, within their existing organisation as
well as to increase job mobility.
UNIGIS is a network of universities co-operating in the design
and delivery of distance education in GIS. Courses are offered in
several countries along the world. The network
concept strengthens the course by providing access to expertise
drawn from an international group of GIS-experts. UNIGIS Amsterdam
was founded in 1993 at the Department of Spatial Economics of the
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. At the moment over 2000 professionals
from all over the world are following the UNIGIS programme
